Team Sheet is a small app for running grassroots sports teams: player availability for matches, training, socials and other events, team selection, fees and stats. One account can belong to several teams. It is run from Sydney, Australia. This page explains what information it holds about you, why, and who it is shared with.

What we collect

AccountYour name, email address and password. Passwords are stored only in hashed form by our database provider. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from them, and nothing else (no contacts, files or calendar). With Apple you can choose to hide your email address.
ProfileYour mobile number, if you add one, and your notification choices.
Team informationFor each team you belong to: your squad name, number and position; your role; your replies (In, Maybe, Out) and any notes you add; team selections; whether match fees or season subs are marked paid; results, goals and assists.
Team detailsSet by managers: team name, colours, badge and header photo, event details and venues (including map locations), and fixtures they import from a spreadsheet.
NotificationsIf you turn on push notifications, a technical address for your device supplied by your browser, or, in the iPhone and Android apps, a device token from Firebase Cloud Messaging. We keep a log of notifications sent to you for 60 days so we can retry failed ones.
On your deviceYour sign-in session and a few display settings are stored in your browser so you stay signed in. We use no advertising or analytics cookies and no tracking of any kind.

How we use it

We don't sell your information, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone beyond the services listed below.

Who can see it

Services we use

These providers process information on our behalf to run the app:

Some of these providers may process information outside Australia.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while you're part of a team on Team Sheet. You can leave a team at any time from the team list. If a manager removes you from the app, your account can no longer see team data, but your past replies and stats stay in the team's history. Notification logs are deleted after 60 days.

Your choices and rights

Deleting your account

You can delete your Team Sheet account yourself, in the app or on the website:

  1. Sign in at teamsheet.net or in the Team Sheet app.
  2. Open your profile and tap Delete my account.
  3. Type your email address to confirm.

If you're the only manager of a team that still has other members, first make someone else a manager.

Deleting some data but keeping your account: you can do some of this yourself.

For anything else, email privacy@teamsheet.net saying what you'd like deleted, and we'll do it within 30 days.

Can't sign in? Email privacy@teamsheet.net from the address on your account, and we'll delete it within 30 days.

What's deleted:

What's kept: your name in the squads you played for, with your past replies and stats, stays in each team's history, no longer linked to any account. A team manager can remove that entry. Notification logs are deleted after 60 days.

Security

All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to data is enforced by the database itself, so each person can only read what their role allows. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Children

Team Sheet is intended for adult teams. If you run a junior team, a parent or guardian should hold the account.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
